Springfield Band “The Station” Jams out Big Time!!!
The Springfield based band “The Station” will be playing for its forth year in a row at the “SummerCamp” Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois on Sunday May 28th at 4:30pm.
The Jam based Festival has become hugely popular with attendance reaching 10,000 in 2005. Bringing in these droves of music lovers are head lining acts such as Keller Williams, Moe, Umphrey’s McGee, Rusted Root, Yonder Mountain String Band and of course our beloved hometown band “The Station”.
At SummerCamp 2005 The Station shared a stage with Moe and Umphrey’s Mcgee creating freestyle jams that rock the crowd, proving without a doubt they have the talent and creativity to hang with the big boys.
The Station has been together and playing out in Springfield for over seven years. The band went full time last summer playing over 140 shows in 2005. Dave Carter (drummer) says after putting out three studio albums, they look forward to releasing their first live album later this year.
