Springfield Band “The Station” Plays their 500th Show

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Springfield based band “The Station” will be playing their 500th anniversary show next Saturday, July 8th at The 49er located at 518 Bruns Lane. Show begins at 9pm and continues until 1am. There will be a $5.00 cover charge at the door.

The Station members have been playing together for eight years. The band went full time last summer playing over 140 shows in 2005. They played their first show onApril 17, 1999 at Breadstetcher’s in downtown Springfield.

Now seven years later, over half of their shows are played out of town, some over a thousand miles from Springfield. Sixty thousands miles were put on The Station’s van in the last two years. However, the band agrees that Springfield is home, and there are no fans like their Springfield fan base.
