"Jedi" was written the night "Star Wars: Episode I" opened. When we were really young, Josh's father (my uncle) took us to see all the Star Wars movies. We became obsessed: all the toys, pajamas, and everything else you "have to have" when you're a kid. So, many years later when Episode I came out, Josh and I, of course, had to go check it out. Anyway, that night after the show, I got to thinking. What would I be like if I were a Jedi? What would I look like? Would I have a cool name, or would I have to go by "Dave"? All these "important" questions bombarded me, and "Jedi" was born.

Tonight I watched the stars melt away.

Danced a majestic symphony they did.

Kind of got me imagining,

You know the story, where do I begin.

A long, long time ago.

In a galaxcy far, far away.

A force ruled all over the land.

Master Yoda had the say.

Midicholorines the seed of life.

Guiding and directing us from strife.

The inner voice to who tells us what's to come.

The pulse which keeps us from pandemonium.

Now you're in my state of mind.

And now my road has become more defined.

Now if you could be so kind, kind, kind, kind.

Do ya think that I would make a good Jedi?

What would my name be if I were a Jedi?

Would you still love me if I were a Jedi?

Could I still get high if I were a Jedi?

Jedi knight....Jedi knight....

Master and apprentice was the way.

A delicate balance of give and take.

The wise helps naive avoid disaster.

The cycle's complete, you're a Jedi master.

Now you're in my state of mind.

And now my road has become more defined.

Now if you could be so kind, kind, kind, kind.
